I spent a good deal of my professional life working on websites. Initially I was a design man, but over time I grew my technical skills to cover all aspects website creation.
I am no programmer, but for many years now there hasn't been the need for a programmer to have a highly functional website. (if it gets too technical I know a few guys though).
Websites have been the corner stone of any marketing strategy for a long time now, it is so important to get it right.
You may be tempted by the website builders that are advertised out there, and if you know what you are doing and have a lot of time to dedicate to them then you can get good results from them. Most people don't. So many times I have seen people coming to legitimate web design firms for a proper website after just giving up with a website builder.
Websites that I offer
I offer a full range of websites that may be of interest
If you have no technical knowledge and or no time to work on the website yourself, then I can create a brochure website with no back-end technology, maximising the design possibilities and making for a speedy, reliable experience for your visitors. When it comes to updating the website, it is just a matter of sending me an email and I can work on an hourly rate or with a pre-arranged maintenance contract. I can even help with the content.
If you want to be a little more hands on, then I can create a content managed website (CMS) where you will be able to login and add/edit pages, add blog entries and testimonials or other types of content such as properties to an estate agent website for example. This is all catered around your budget, scalable and flexible.
I even offer e-commerce solutions, that are easy and fast to use.
I do all this using the latest technologies and techniques include the now obligatory responsive design (Layout changing for different devices e.g. PCs, Tablets Mobile devices) I can even design the website with retina devices in mind (so your website looks extra-sharp on that brand new Samsung Galaxy of iPad Air).
The Technical Side of Websites
My preferred content management system is Drupal. I have created well over 30 websites in Drupal, it has all I need to create all sorts of features, it is flexible and I know it like the back of my hand. It is also the second most popular CMS in the world, so it shouldn't be too hard to find someone who can take over if I get hit by a bus!
